Way to pilly. My newly knit sweater already looks old! I knit my sweater with the Sterling, it's a beautiful color, and very soft. I'm just disappointed with all the pills after one time wearing it. Oh well, it's good to try new yarn, to see what works best for you.

By the time I finished the sweater and blocked it, it was pilled. I will not be using this again. I also feel the name is misleading. Gloss to me references a shine or a sheen to the product. This has absolutely NO gloss. I would actually consider it dull. Better luck next time!

Bought this to make hats for my daughters. Made a fan and lace beret for my daughter out of a flame red color that I LOVE but I see is no longer available. Accidentally threw the hat into the wash with towels and was so sad because I thought it was too felted to wear. Blocked it again and it still fits my daughter. Also, it didn't bleed red on the towels. I like this yarn a lot.

Will definitely be using this again BUT it does tend to pill and bleed easily. Started slightly pilling halfway through a sweater (it was a long sweater) and I'd have blue lines on my hands and fingers after knitting sessions that would come off with lots of scrubbing (it was a darker blue: Aegean). Still love it!

Beautiful yarn for the price. Subtle sheen. Wonderfully soft after being blocked. Purchased Navy colour - not too dark, with very subtle purple undertones. Look forward to buying again.

I love this yarn! I used the mint color to make a wrap and it is so soft and warm with just a little bit of shine, and the color is gorgeous. Easy to knit with, no problems with splitting. Great stitch definition after blocking. I will definitely be ordering more of this.

I love this yarn. It's so soft and the colors are gorgeous. I'm having a hard time not buying every color available. I have 5 friends who are expecting right now and I'm working on making baby blankets for each of them. This yarn is working out beautifully and I will definitely continue to buy it. The only reason I didn't give it a rating of "excellent" is that sometimes the yarn doesn't seem to be very well spun. It does come untwisted at times but I just re-spin it and continue on.

I bought this yarn last year to knit a long-sleeved cardigan. My friend bought a pricier name brand wool for the same pattern. Mine is pilling, and I have not washed it yet. Her sweater is not pilling and looks newer. While I have bought a lot of Knit Picks yarn, I don't think I would buy this one for a cardigan again.

So so so so so so soft! Bought to make a pair of socks, haven't started yet but I know this will feel great on feet. Colorways: Cranberry, Lot 157584 - darker than it appears on the photo, less of a primary red and more of a maroon Fedora, Lot 6191 - more saturated than it appears on the photo, also a very ashy brown Robot, Lot 75540 - an awesome silvery grey, close to how it appears on the photo but maybe not quite as white

Love, love love! I love soft yarns and this one definitely delivers! Made a gorgeous scarf/cowl in the Masala color meant for a friend, but couldnt part with it. It's my go-to winter accessory. It's sheen and color are perfect!

Bought a pattern recently that called for Gloss HW (heavy worsted?). and showed a completed project in color Admiral. Are there any plans to produce that weight yarn? I suspect it was a limited special last year. I would prefer to make the pattern in Gloss. A lovely yarn and spectacular for showing cables.

My rating is only based on the colour that has just arrived. The Flamingo colour is more on the coral side if anyone was wondering not a pink with blue undertones.

I love this yarn. It has a soft sheen to it that just adds to the look of your work. I made some beautiful mittens with it and it is so soft on my fingers

This is one of my favorite yarns. It's incredibly soft, almost to the point where I can't believe it's wool, and has a beautiful subtle sheen which makes it perfect for cabling. It also had far fewer joins than some other knitpicks yarns do. I think I found maybe 2 joins total in all the skeins I purchased for my last sweater project. Definitely an excellent value. I wish it came in more colors. I would use it for everything.

Gloss is my favorite. I love the 'hand'; pairs well in a wool/silk blend. It works up beautifully with great stitch definition. I chose the DK Fairy Tale for a cardigan and the fingering weight for a vest with a chevron stitch pattern. I wish KP offered it in a worsted weight.

Yum, yum, yum. What a lovely shine, and it feels so nice in my hands as I knit. It is working up beautifully, and I know I will be back to this yarn for other projects.

This... yarn... is... SPECTACULAR. I have made legwarmers that just shine and I can't wait to try out a new sweater pattern I have. I do recommend, however, that it be used with something patterned (like a cable) as it just gives more opportunities for the shine to come right through. Great to work with, can't wait to order a bunch more.

I've used this yarn in several projects and love it! It has a nice sheen to it, it works up easy, and really shows off the colors. I'll be making several more projects with it!

We live in a much colder climate and I used this wool to make my fiance and I some face covers for skiing. I cannot believe how wonderful this yarn is to work with! I'm just wondering... anyone that's worked with it, how do you think it would work as a blanket?

I received the Admiral Blue yesterday and am speechless by how beautiful it is. I've worked up half of a mobius cowl and the yarn feels fantastic between my fingers, looks beautiful, drapes beautifully, and has this wonderful sheen. I think I've found my new favorite.

I love this yarn. I have made several cowls for Christmas gifts this year. It is a pleasure to knit with & blocks wonderfully. The finished pieces are light as air.

Be very careful when you care for this yarn. It does stretch out, as advertised, when only wet. Agitation causes extreme felting. My gorgeous sweater fits a 3 year old. :-(
