Sale! Gloss DK Yarn

$3.49 - $6.99 50g / ball  Original Price: $6.99

No need to panic - Gloss isn't going away for good! We are working on a color refresh, and will have fabulous new colors for you before the new year.

Gloss DK is a luxurious blend of soft Merino wool and lustrous silk. The fiber blend takes dye very well, resulting in glowing saturated colors. Gloss DK has a large spectrum of colors, which are ideal for combining in colorwork projects. It is next-to-skin soft, and good for wearing around your neck or on your wrists, since it’s not itchy. Its sheen and drape produce a very sleek fabric, which shows off the stockinette stitch. Try using Gloss DK to knit fitted pullovers, dressy cardigans, or stunning wraps.

"The Gloss DK yarn is very soft and not a bit itchy.  I love the colors that it comes in too!  I recently finished a scarf with it and it was beautiful!  Best of all?  The recipient loved it!" -Grace N., Knit Picks customer

"I have to say, I'm very impressed with this yarn.  It knit up quite nicely and now that it is blocked, it's even softer and squishier!  I'll definitely be using this yarn again!"  -Stephanie, Knit Picks customer

I've used this yarn to make toques for gentlemen. Love the variety of colors-- I can convince guys to wear colors other than blues and blacks based on the quality of the fiber especially after project completion. No experience with washing; taking other reviews seriously. Love the color selections-- I will continue to shop this line for gift projects and color availability.

4/5 stars for KP Gloss DK yarn It's shiny, it has great stitch definition, and it is soft... to an extent. The negatives are not serious, but should be mentioned: This yarn will felt on itself, especially if you use it in a big project connecting multiple balls of yarn. Your ends might felt together a bit, so be careful when washing. In addition to the felting, it has a toothy feel to it, despite being merino and silk. Not bad though, I have used this in a sweater and a cowl, and it is soft on the skin

THIS YARN IS AMAZING!!! I really love it! I used it to make a baby afghan and was astounded at how soft it was.

I see many complaints from people about pilling. Of course, going to be pilling because made from real fiber! This is a not an acrylic its a wool, or can be alpaca... Remember if you want to original fiber yarn it's Always going to be pilling! It's natural Fiber! Other ways get some synthetics made (plastic ) yarn.

I am a fairly "new" knitter and bought Gloss to make a sweater when I really didn't understand fit. I knit a sweater and it was too small and I frogged it. I knit it again (same yarn) and just wasn't happy with the fit again, so I frogged it. I started a sweater and ran into issues and frogged it - finally getting a sweater I love on the 4th try. This yarn has been knit and frogged and wound and re-wound and has held up incredibly. I have no doubt that it will make a terrific and long-lasting sweater. It has a beautiful appearance and a lovely hand. I'm shopping for more Gloss right now!
