Bare Stroll Fingering Sock Yarn

$8.99 100g / hank

The superwash treatment does not interfere with dye absorption at all. You will be delighted with the range and intensity of colors you can get from dyeing this yarn. Socks provide such a perfect foil for playing with dyes that they can quickly become addictive. It doesn’t take long to set up to dye yarn for a couple pairs at a time and then be well stocked for many happy knitting hours.

My young daughters and I tried ice dyeing this yarn in the oven and it took the dye so beautifully. Using just the three primary colors we got so many color variations along with bold pops of the original colors because the dye struck quick fast and in a hurry. It only blended where we intended it to blend by sprinkling more than one color over the ice. This will be our go-to sock base for sure! We used the same method on other yarns but this was our favorite.

Love this yarn. Very soft. Great if you want to do your own dying. Will get more for sure!

Yarn picked up color so quickly that it did not dye evenly.

Color was slurped up so quickly! I used dipping and kettle dyeing techniques. I have to get more, yarn is so soft and light.

Love this yarn, takes dye beautifully, dries soft and plump, so pleased with it, will be buying more for sure.
