City Tweed Aran/HW
City Tweed begins with alpaca and Merino fibers dyed two different colors and then blended together to make a subtly rich, lustrous heather. We chose neutral color Donegal tweed neps to incorporate into the 2-ply yarn. Donegal is a series of viscose neps (think slubs or bits of lint) that are suspended in a very fine acrylic mesh which allows them to be spun alongside the longer alpaca and Merino fibers. In the yarn, you won't be able to see the acrylic web at all, and the neps will appear either on the surface of the yarn or spun inside the yarn strand. The high ratio of neps gives City Tweed a traditional appeal. The use of Merino and alpaca makes it soft and warm.
Jacquard is a deep blue green color. Much like a teal or mallard blue, Jacquard reflects blue and green tones similar to those seen in the ocean. A fabulous color that looks great on everyone!
Toad is an olive green color with vintage appeal. The neps give a speckled look to this classic color that resembles many shades of green found in nature. A beautiful shade to wrap yourself in on a chilly night.
Lemon Curd is a dusty yellow orange color. Golden in color, Lemon Curd will give you a warm fall look in a traditional tweed style.
Blue Blood is a reddish maroon color. A jewel tone, Blue Blood looks great when paired with other jewel tones as well as neutrals for a classic outfit for day or evening.
Romance is a warm red orange color. Close to a brick red, Romance is a rich color that will be a bold and welcoming addition to any wardrobe.
Brocade is a deep violet color with strands of magenta intermixed adding a slight pinkish hue. Like a glass of grape juice, Brocade is a royal color that is exquisite and works for a night out on the town or in the office.
Morning Glory is a lavish blue violet color with a delicate red undertone. Much like the flower it is named after, Morning Glory is blooming with possibilities. This exquisite color looks fabulous when paired with blues, violets and even some shades of red.
Harbor Seal is a light smoky grey with blue undertones, similar to the shades found along a cold, rocky coastline.
Obsidian is a darker grey color that is not quite black but more of a silvery charcoal. This classic tweed is the perfect color for both feminine and masculine styles.
Orca is a medium smoky grey color. Close in color to graphite or steel, Orca is a classic tweed color that will not disappoint. It knits up beautifully for a distinguished look.
Snowbank is a foggy white neutral color—cool, crisp, and well suited for traditionally inspired tweed projects.
Snowshoe is a creamy yellow beige color. A lot like the color of oatmeal, Snowshoe is a beautiful neutral that is ideal for creating a classic tweed look.
