A modern variation on a log cabin design, these Modernist Placemats are simple enough for a beginner. No seaming or shaping required!
Worked in Garter Stitch, they are worked one block of color at a time, from the center out to the edges. Slipping the first stitch of each row makes picking up stitches for subsequent blocks easy—no counting! Use one skein of each color per placemat.
