The Giverny Shawl, with its pattern of semi-circular bands, was inspired by the ripples on the pond in the town of Giverny, where Monet grew his famous water lilies – which in turn inspired so many of his Impressionist paintings.
The crescent shaped shawl features garter stitch bands interspersed with stockinette stitch and a super simple lace pattern. Gentle pleats finish it off.
A solid or gently variegated yarn will be shown to advantage in this cozy, pretty shawl. A very relaxing knit, this pattern is perfect for TV knitting or social knitting.
