Gain some fun new hat-knitting skills with this sidewaysconstructed, bias-bodied hat, knit entirely flat and finished with optional buttons for extra personalization! The Twisted Rib body is easy to work by reading your knitting as the ribs travel up, swirling around the body of the hat.
This hat is worked flat, from side to side, with the main Twisted Rib stitch pattern worked on the bias using increases and decreases. The brim is stretchy with sideways Garter Stitch, and the crown is shaped with German Short Row wedges. The body is worked the same for every row, while the crown stitches get shorter on each wedge row to create the shape.
