Beautiful hand painted wool evokes the Northern Lights in the Borealis Cowl. This compact cowl uses only two hanks of Knit Picks Muse, playing the vibrant hand painted colors off a neutral background. While the Nordic star design is complex, the chart has only two colors and will be easy to follow for an intermediate knitter with some experience in stranded knitting. The cowl itself has no shaping, simple rib at the top and bottom, and will work up quickly in this Aran weight yarn. This pattern includes two versions of the chart, one with colors reversed, so you can choose a light or dark background.
