Sale! Swish Worsted Yarn

$4.49 - $4.99 50g / skein  Original Price: $4.99

Swish is the superwash of knitters’ dreams! By selecting high grade Merino wool (20.5 microns), we have been able to produce a machine washable yarn that is super soft - definitely worthy of being worn against a baby's skin. Just the ticket for children’s clothes, afghans, charity knitting and gift knitting. No need to worry about the care your knitting will receive since this yarn can be machine washed and will come out even softer than before!

Swish Worsted is a medium weight yarn that will help you outfit the whole family in record time. Even those with sensitive skin will love the feel of baby soft merino, making this perfect for cuddly and warm sweaters and next-to-skin accessories like cowls and scarves.

Swish is also available in DK and Bulky weights.

Note: For best machine wash results, turn the garment inside out and wash in cold water on a delicate cycle. You may want to wash projects made from darker colors by themselves for the first few washes in case the yarn bleeds a bit.

“I just received my order, and I must say I love your products. I am so thrilled with the yarn I ordered, Imagination in Gingerbread House, Wicked Witch and Damsel and Swish Worsted in Lemongrass Heather. I can barely wait to start all my new projects (just have to finish the one I have nearly finished with Andean Silk in Cinnamon). Thanks for the great products and fast shipping.” Michelle K., Knit Picks customer

“I wanted to thank you for my last order. I phoned prior, and spoke to a nice representative for Knit Picks. I told her I wanted yarn info out of a book I was about to order. I explained I wanted to order the yarn amounts at the same time. She took the time to locate the book and give me all the info I needed. I found out I needed a needle too! I received my order in good time and began the project right away. I really enjoyed the worsted Swish. What a nice yarn! I love the Swish in Bulky too! Thanks so much.” Karen M., Knit Picks customer

I am very disapointed, I can't believe my favorite knitting site let me down so badly. I have used both swish worsted and swish dk for sweaters and both garment, despite only having been washed once, have totally pilled and fuzzed out like crazy. I spent 110 hours on one of those sweaters and without constantly using a sweater saver it looks shabby instead of amazing like it should. Don't buy this for sweaters. I can't believe you let me like this Knit Picks.

I've used Swish Merino Wool for about 15 projects now and love the feel, colors and consistency I've gotten across lots and colors. Whether a sizable blanket, scarf, hat or such, I've come to expect nothing but the best from this line. I consider this my first choice when buying a washable wool. Currently, working on a 10'x6' mixed stitch blanket for my living room using 5-6 different colors of this and everyone comments on the tones and softness when they see it out.

I bought this to make winter mittens for my grandchildren. I LOVE IT! In fact, I don't want to use any other yarn to make their mittens. It is soft and cozy and the mitts look just gorgeous! I don't know how it would be on larger projects, but will give it a try, maybe a baby blanket for the newest member of the family? I had not problem with knots, splits, or dye on my needles. I use bamboo only.

I like this yarn. I'm knitting a copy cat CC Beanie in garnet heather. The color is rich and beautiful. The yarn is very soft. I've had a bit of trouble with splitting, but not too bad. Yes, I'm sure there are better quality yarns, but I have a low budget for yarn. Knit Picks Swish is very nice for the price.

I bought six skeins of Swish Worsted five years ago when I was learning how to knit. I bought it specifically because I didn’t want to get frustrated by poor quality yarn, which I could have easily purchased at my local big box store. I was frustrated with the yarn back then because it split so easily so I gave up on it for awhile. I have come back to this yarn a few times in the years since: I’m a more experienced knitter, my tension and technique are better and I still hate this yarn. I’ve been hesitant to buy anymore Knit Picks brand yarns because this yarn was spun so poorly.
