Sale! Stroll Gradient

$10.19 - $15.29 100g / Cake  Original Price: $16.99

No repeats here! Stroll Gradient takes the soft, washable treat-for-your-feet of our popular Stroll base and adds hand painted color changes that extend the entire length of the skein. The soft, but strong Superwash Merino and nylon blend is ideal for easy care knits, such as socks, everyday accessories, or gifts. And with automatic ombres, built-in pop colors, and bold contrasts, there’s a Gradient to thrill every color sensibility.

Note: Because Stroll Gradient features one long color change, you will need 2 cakes to make a pair of identical socks.

I was really looking forward to designing with this yarn but was disappointed in the product for the price. The yarn is nice, but it's not much different than choosing three colors of Stroll Tonal and or Hand Paint and lining them up. Sure, if you want to buy only one cake of it and make a mitten it works, but not my cup of tea.

I am knitting with the unicorn princess and it must be a bad dye job because it is striped and mostly white. It's absolutely nothing like what the picture shows. I thought this yarn was supposed to go from one color to the next but instead it's more like felici but the stepped are thinner and it's mostly white. Super disappointed. I'm hoping it's a bad dye job and that knit picks will replace the yarn. NOTE FROM KNIT PICKS: I am very sorry the yarn is not as advertised. It sounds like it is a bad dye job. Please call us at 1-800-574-1323 so we can assist you.

It would be so wonderful to have Stroll in sport, DK or even better worsted. Please?????

Makes lovely socks-I knit up four pair of basic socks (size 3 needles) from two cakes! It's fun to work with. There's an element of surprise to Gradient, because you don't know at which point the new color will kick in. Keep in mind that, if you're looking to knit striped socks with bold color contrast, this isn't the yarn for you: don't count on getting more than two colors at most per sock. Two were almost all one color with pretty, subtle stripes where the lighter "variegation" crept in, and the other two were two-toned. My only criticism? The darkest color (coal black on lifeguard, which is being discontinued) ran a bit and stained my hands, but washed off easily.

love the colors. How about a light worsted weight? With really long repeats. Sweaters would look wonderful
