Sock Lab Stroll

$15.99 100g / Hank

We’re already getting antsy for summer here in the sock lab. There’s only so much drizzle and frost we can take before we start dreaming of palm trees and fruity drinks topped with tiny umbrellas. That’s why we’re so excited to bring you our latest sock lab specimens, which we think just scream summer - in that “floating around the pool on a giant inflatable unicorn” sort of way. With brilliant pops of speckles and bright hand-painted hues, these cheerful Stroll colorways are just the thing to chase away the winter blues. But just like the sprinkles topping a melting ice cream sundae, these limited edition yarns won’t last long!

Sock Lab Stroll is great to knit with, no splitting or dropped stitches on my DPNs and great stitch definition. As a present for my sister I can say that she loves the socks I knitted. They have a terrific ‘foot-feel’ and don’t bind at the ankle; altogether a great yarn.

Specimen 1807.01 is beautiful but not quite what was pictured/described. The base is not a “muted ivory” as listed but a pretty stark white. And the speckles and greys are a lot more sparse than pictured. That said, it’s still a unique combination of colors and is working up nicely with Stroll Tonals in Poppy Field, Pepper, and Train Station — which match the yellows, reds, and greys perfectly.
