Sale! Simply Wool Bulky

$6.29 - $6.99 100g / Hank  Original Price: $6.99

You’d have to shear your own sheep to get any more natural, this 100% Eco wool yarn is good for you and Mother Earth. The product of centuries of shepherding tradition, the balanced twist and dense, plump hand gives this yarn fabulous definition for textured or cabled sweaters and accessories. No dyes or bleach are used to process the yarn; the eight natural shades are created by meticulously sorting the fiber as it comes off the sheep. As colors are naturally occurring, some variation from skein to skein is normal.

I tried three other "premium" yarns before settling on this to crochet a complex heirloom Aran afghan for my son's wedding. It comes in generous, wonderfully uniform skeins and stands up to reworking amazingly well. Lovely, subtle heathered fibers. I'm fairly texture sensitive, but this yarn is soft enough I could definitely wear it next to my skin. Never splits, and as mentioned in other reviews, the stitch definition really is beautiful. Will definitely be using again... Wish it came in a rainbow of colors, but love that it's all natural. A great value for such high quality.

Love this yarn - very good stitch definition. Very warm and cosy! I have knitted several projects with this and they all came together nice and quick. The yarn is noticeable softer and fluffier the lighter the colour - you may have to adjust your pattern if using several colours in the same project

I LOVE this wool! I want to knit EVERYTHING out of this from now on, lol. It's not scratchy at all - it's wonderfully soft, especially considering that it's not a superwash wool. It is sturdier than merino and not so pilly. I knit up a pair of super thick house socks from this yarn, and they are SO nice... makes me wish they weren't a gift, because I really want to keep them, lol.

Loved this yarn for a Carbeth Cardigan for my daughter. It knit up bulky. If you think it is not bulky knit a swatch and wash it, you will be surprised.I am making the same sweater out of this yarn for me.

This is a no-nonsense pure wool yarn, and for that, it's excellent. Smooth, uniform, squishy, and the best stitch definition I've seen in 20 years of knitting. It doesn't seem like bulky weight in the skein, but knit it at bulky gauge - it plumps up as you work with it. No, it isn't the softest yarn, but it does soften with a good soak. I was looking for undyed "rustic" wool for a scarf request, and I'm glad I took a chance on this yarn - it's perfect.
