Sale! Paragon Sport Yarn

$5.24 - $6.74 50g / ball  Original Price: $7.49

Bounce, luster, and luxurious sheen - Paragon is the epitome of fabulous! Our newest sport-weight yarn is fabulously squishy due to fine Merino wool. Combined with Baby Alpaca for amazing drape-ability and Mulberry silk for a gorgeous shine, Paragon is sure to become your favorite yarn for projects such as sophisticated cardigans, opulent shawls, and unique scarves. Amazingly versatile, too... knit with smaller needles for a dense, plump, and super-squishy feel; or use larger needles to create projects with lovely drape. Prepare to fall in love.

This is my favorite yarn! Squishy, soft and a nice shine to it! I'm not sure how practical it is to use in every type of project because of the price (at least for my budget), but if I could I would use this as my main "go-to" yarn. Very luxurious and has really beautiful drape! I love this so much and enjoy the colors already offered.

I must amend my previous review of Paragon: I have been advised by people whose color acuity I trust that Enchanted is indeed purple...and a "perfectly purple purple" in fact! My eyesight is obviously not to be trusted; I will refrain from reviewing colors. This yarn feels very scrumptious, especially for a little princess!

Review is based solely on the lack of validity of the color as described for Enchanted..".a resplendent purple " it is not. It is much closer to a burgundy than any purple I have ever seen. Unfortunately it was purchased to make a sweater dress for a young child who loves purple, not burgundy! I am afraid to order any other color because I have no confidence in the image/descriptions given. Too bad, as it feels like a scrumptious yarn.

I am in love with this yarn. I purchase the "naked" version so I can get the brilliant colors I want. I hand painted several skeins and everyone who sees my work is fascinated. I have knit, ripped out because I didn't like my own design and redid. This yarn stays the same quality no matter how many times reknitted. Only downside is that its weight tends to sag, but always bounces back. Great stuff!

I love the way this yarn feels and it knits up so nice. I used the navy for hats, I'm a mail carrier in New York and need warms. I would have given this yarn an excellent but for one reason. After washing and blocking, the hats stretched so much I couldn't wear them. So I ripped them out. I may change this review after I have washed the 2 remaining skeins I have, made a new hat and blocked it.

Love this yarn. I am using the sampler to make EZ's Adult Surprise Jacket. The yarn is beautiful in hand, easy to work & the colors are saturated.

This stuff is amazing. I'd say it's comparable to Purl Soho's Mulberry Merino (made of the same fibers) but like 1/4 of the price and it doesn't pill as easily (so far). It's soft and beautiful and a pleasure to work with. I just wish there were more colors!!!

Very pleased with Paragon sport. Just finished crocheting and blocking a shawl using the Almond colorway. Such a pleasure to work with, glides so smoothly on the hook. Durability to be determined, but could not be more pleased with the appearance. Drapes beautifully.

This is some of the best yarn I've ever used and I've been knitting for nearly 60 of my 70 years. It is wonderfully soft, yet spun with a twist which gives excellent stitch definition. I started using it for charity hats last winter and fell in love. I'm nearly finished with a Melanie Berg shawl and have Paragon lined up for at least two more projects. I can't get enough of this stuff! Fabulous yarn at a very reasonable price.

I love this yarn. I am finally finishing a shrug, the design of the pattern I really liked but it proved to be a challenge. I honestly ripped it out so many times another yarn would have given up! But the more frustrated I got, the more determined I was to win! And even now, you can't tell where it all happened. This is pure pleasure to work with, and is so soft, the stitch definition so nice and as the description says, the "drape-ability" perfect. I had previously purchased yarn from Turkey, same fiber content, pricier and not nearly as nice. I'm anxious to begin another project using this yarn.

Love Love Love this yarn

LOVE this yarn, it's soft and squishy to touch, not scratchy at all it feels like there is no wool in it at all, and has an awesome shine showing off stitch definition. I had to unravel the first half of my project three times because I kept measuring incorrectly, and the yarn held up exceptionally well, still no pilling, splitting or tangling - so impressed! I think I'll make all my project with this from now on!

I feel in love with Paragon when I saw the description in the Knit Pick catalog, especially the 'Sagebrush". The Cardi pattern I'm using has a "yo" that that has been my nemesis. To go back to correct a mistake is horrible, I have, literally, spent a week and a half ripiping and re-knitting. And this yarn has taken it. It still looks like the new yarn on the ball. And the softness is wonderful to work with. I'm looking forward to finishing this project (!) so I can buy more of this yarn.

This was my first purchase of Paragon. It's like butter. Good quality yarn makes all the difference. Using with my rainbow hook as well. I have loved everything I have purchased.

Loved the combination of fibers in this yarn, but the colors are disappointing. I could not find one that I liked much less wear. All the colors are very grayed and cool toned.

This is my first 'good quality' yarn purchase, and although it's not as soft as I was hoping for (I personally think the cheaper 'Mighty Stitch' yarn is much, much softer) the yarn definitely holds up well - no pilling, no splitting, and is nice and even all the way through the skein! It also has a really nice 'shine' to it once knitted. The yarn feels like it just glides over the needles! Overall very happy with my purchase :)

My rating is totally based on the colour choices (or lack thereof) of this new yarn, which sounds yummy, but does not have one colour for me. As with so many of Knit Picks yarns, cool undertones prevail when half of us need warm undertones. And the colour that has warm undertones is yellow/gold which isn't flattering to very many people. Please some bright, warm colours.
