This yarn is very soft and the colors are vibrant, but it is not a bulky. This is worsted weight, and unfortunately is not going to work for the many projects I bought it all for. If you’re looking for a worsted weight, this would be perfect

I am making several hat/ scarf sets for charity, so the price on this yarn is great. I haven't found any knots or frays in the first 3 skeins I've used. I do agree with another review that says it is more like worsted weight than bulky, so it is making a bit looser fabric than I wanted. But to get the number of items I need finished I can't go down to smaller needle size or I'll never get finished. I'm currently using an 11 so I may try doubling the yarn and use a 15. Overall though, this is a good yarn for the price.

The color of the yarn was beautiful. First time I have purchased this particular yarn from KnitPicks and it is very disappointing. The skeins contained frays, splits, and knots in all of them. I did use it to make an afghan and hope it will hold up to get some use out of it. The weight of the yarn is questionable but was fine for my project. Will not purchase this yarn again. Enjoy working with Wool of the Andes yarn and will stick with that from now on.

Not what I expected from a bulky yarn .....It’s more like worsted weight. Disappointed that I won’t be able to use it for the project I wanted to do.

As a career crocheter finding yarn that is cost effective and fabulous is a struggle. I wanted to try out this yarn, because of the color palette being so close if not the same color matches for the brava bulky I use for my hats And thought a fiber option might be nice. When the yarn arrived in the post I was most excited to get started. I decided to test the yarn by crocheting a hat. Same gauge as the brava bulky. When completed I was very proud of myself, I loved the sheen, the softness and color options. until I grabbed a hat to compare. The gauge is not a bulky. The hat fit my 2 year old. ?? I found this problem over the years with most knit picks yarns. Even within the same yarns. Gauges are wrong or inconsistent. I have a pile of yarn for my job I can’t use for work (but will get some good use out of)
