Not what I expected from a bulky yarn .....It’s more like worsted weight. Disappointed that I won’t be able to use it for the project I wanted to do.

As a career crocheter finding yarn that is cost effective and fabulous is a struggle. I wanted to try out this yarn, because of the color palette being so close if not the same color matches for the brava bulky I use for my hats And thought a fiber option might be nice. When the yarn arrived in the post I was most excited to get started. I decided to test the yarn by crocheting a hat. Same gauge as the brava bulky. When completed I was very proud of myself, I loved the sheen, the softness and color options. until I grabbed a hat to compare. The gauge is not a bulky. The hat fit my 2 year old. ?? I found this problem over the years with most knit picks yarns. Even within the same yarns. Gauges are wrong or inconsistent. I have a pile of yarn for my job I can’t use for work (but will get some good use out of)

I bought this for my mother. She loves this yarn. But to be aware it comes out more like worsted weight. Even though it splits a lot it still just takes a little more time to do the project. But if you learn how to work with it the projects for worsted come out real nice and soft and squishy. If you get he lighter colors the weight will be lighter than the darker colors.

I'm really enjoying this yarn. However, the "celestial" color is quite a bit darker than the image online. I was looking for a very bright, almost electric blue, and that's how it looked on my computer. It's still a striking blue, but very dark. Other than that, I love the feel of it as it knits up. I'm creating a fishermans rib scarf, and it's nice and fluffy and pillowy. I was concerned it wouldn't be bulky enough, but it's doing the job!

I purchased this in the colorway Sky to knit a bulky-weight shawl, which I have knit before in another yarn (now discontinued). Though it looks lovely and feels soft, it has made for a difficult knit and sup-par finished product, as compared to the first shawl knit in another product. It splits like crazy, fuzzes and sheds, and it is NOT bulky weight. When binding off, every stitch loop poofed apart into plies, so the edge looks sloppy. Even after thorough washing it is still shedding. Quite disappointing; would not repurchase. Trust the critical reviews here.
