Absolutely LOVE this yarn...It is wonderful to work with. I am working on a Lace shawl. This yarn gives excellent definition to my project. Mistakes are easily undone. It's a very forgiving yarn.I highly recommend this yarn.

I love this yarn. My issue is really with just one colorway—Delphinium. In the picture it is very blue and the description is that of a “cool, intense blue”, which is what I’m looking for. I’ve ordered this twice, now two separate occasions, and the color is more indigo and violet than blue at all. It’s still a beautiful color, but not what I need for my project. It’s been a while since I ordered this colorway, but with two unused skeins sitting about I’m hesitant to order a third time.

I bought 4 skeins to make shawlettes for friends and once I realised that I crocheted a little loosely and adjusted my hook size, I couldn't be more happy! Colours are great, no issue with colour transfer and the shawlettes have come out a treat. Have already recommended this yarn to a slew of friends :)

Love, love, love Hawthorne yarn!! I knit a pair of Fair Isle sock, General Hogbuffer pattern, in bare and a tonal blue and they are wonderful!! Could use more light colors, maybe, like sky blue or a pink? I also knit for a grand daughter.

I really like this yarn. It can feel a little rough at first, but once you wash your finished item, it softens up. I do have an issue with the complaints about running out. How does that happen? Read the yardage before you buy the yarn.
