Sale! Capretta Superwash Hand Painted Special Reserve

$15.39 - $19.79 100g / Hank  Original Price: $21.99

The best of two of our favorite fingering weight yarns, Capretta Hand Paint pairs the bold color of Hawthorne with the luxurious fiber of Capretta. Bright dapplings, subtle washes, and brilliant pops of color are carefully painted by hand onto a cushiony soft blend of Merino and cashmere, with just a touch of nylon for strength. This special fine-gauge yarn not only features some of our most popular colorways, but also the machine-washable convenience of Superwash wool. From boisterous socks and mittens to sumptuous shawls and scarves, you can enjoy the best in color and comfort in one fabulous yarn.

As a Special Reserve, this is a limited edition yarn and may never return.

I just got two skeins of this, and I'm excited to work with it. It's soft but also feels smooth, and I expect nice stick definition and lovely drape. I dinged it on the rating because the Eliot color way is not like the picture at all. My skein doesn't have any copper/orange in it all, and that was a big selling point for me. It's a celery/moss/olive blend with the tiniest bit of tan, and a bit muddy in effect. :-(

My husband picked out the colorway Eliot for a slouch hat. It in no way resembles the description or the picture. My hank is mostly shades of olive with about 5% blue and equal of a golden color. Knitted up it is 100% camouflage. It is beautiful, I'll give you that but we are both disappointed in the color. I have never ever had a yarn not fit the picture or the description from Knitpicks. The yarn itself is beautiful and is knitting up wonderfully, even going back several times to get the correct fit for hubby's giant noggin. I might try another hank in a different color for a new project as it is a delight to knit with - especially since it has now gone on sale.
