I completely agree with the reviews mentioning the difference in quality between the yarn from Turkey and the yarn from China. I don't know the reason behind the change in manufacturer but I would certainly pay more to get the Turkish yarn. I couldn't figure out why the Brava was so good for one hat and the very next wasn't as wonderful - it split and didn't have quite the same softness and luster - then I noticed they were manufactured in two different countries. It is still a nice value yarn, just not as spectacular as before.

I ordered some yarn to finish a sweater and was disappointed at the change in quality. My first batch of yarn was beautifully soft and fluffy while the new skeins were thinner and almost sticky to knit with. I hope either they revert back to ordering from Turkey or at least warn which colors are from China and which are from Turkey. Not only do I not want to knit with the colors from China but I also don't want to be mixing the great Turkey colors with the lower quality China ones.

This definitely my favorite. Just starting to make beanies for cancer patients. I think this will be very comfortable!! Thank you!

I really like this yarn and would have loved to use it as a basic. It is apparent that since the yarn comes from China the quality has dropped. I ordered 4 colours and 3 of the 4 still came from turkey and the yarn was a true worsted and worked up beautifully with a 6mm crochet hook . The 4th colour which was black and made in china....the yarn split...I had to go to a 5.5 and probably could have gone down to a 5.....I hope they keep the yarn coming from Turkey.

I love this yarn. Love it. Never knew how soft acrylic could be until this! I use this yarn for everything I make... since we have pets, washability is a huge must-have. Have made a bunch of baby blankets, and full size blankets. Will be making scarves come summer (in prep. for fall!) My only reason for not giving it excellent is that the colours are constantly sold out. White... it is a basic colour that should ALWAYS be in stock. Yet I can't get it until June? That a little ridiculous.

Used to absolutely love this yarn. However, it is now made in China rather than Turkey and the quality has really gone downhill in my opinion. Check out the Knitpick group on Ravelry who agree. Hope Knitpicks can get it from Turkey again or I will have to look elsewhere for an awesome acrylic.

I used Brava sport weight to make my grandson a knit-o-graph train sweater. The yarn didn't snarl on the bobbins, and it is nice and soft. I'm very satisfied, and he loves it.

WOW, I normally do not like acrylic yarn, I am hooked on this yarn. So far it has been a joy to work with, not rough and scratchy as some from my LYS are. Only down side is I wish the skeins were abit bigger say another 150 yards more per skein. I will be buying more.

Alas, this yarn is simply heavenly. When describing it to my yarn-loving friends, I usually say it's luxury yarn at Red Heart prices. Amazingly soft, wonderful to work with and patterns nicely. The variety of available colors is certainly a nice bonus as well.

I couldn't be happier with this yarn! Working on a baby blanket and it is so SO soft and cushy! The colors are great and I can't wait to finish this one and pick colors for my next one.

I agree with others that this is a very nice acrylic, very soft compared to other acrylics. I would like to see some variegated colorways.

I use acrylic yarn for amigurumi animals that I crochet all the time for family and friends. I've found some decent acrylic in the past that has been somewhat soft but this stuff is sublime. It produces the BEST amigurumi I have ever made. Soft, supple and I don't feel like the "aunt with the scratchy toys" any more. It's plush and springy and I'd love to make clothing out of this! Absolutely my go to yarn from now on, a definite staple in my stash. Will be replacing all of my other acrylics for this.

I've used this yarn for lots of projects and gifts. I don't have enough good things to say about it. It is a great value - lots of yarn for the money. I like that it is easy care so I don't have to be worried whoever I give it too will damage it. My favorite part is how soft, squishy and high quality it is -- it even has a nice stretch and loft to it. I recommend using a larger hook/needle size to get its full squishy and soft affect (I'm using a 6.5 mm / K hook at the moment). Lots of color choices and they keep adding more. I'm constantly disappointed by craft store acrylic yarn (scratchy, stiff, heavy etc.). This is nothing like that. I'm a fiber junky and can be picky about my yarn but I can honestly say that I truly enjoy crocheting with this yarn. It has a nice sheen and drape. Definitely stock up, you'll keep going back to it for gifts and other projects. (Good for crocheters as crochet projects can use lots and lots more yarn than knitted items)

I love this yarn! I searched and searched for several colors within the same line and found them in Brava. the yarn is very nice to work with and I love it! I use the sport weight to make baby hats they come out very soft, wash well and my customers are very pleased!!!!

great yarn for a great price! i've ordered this three times now in 4 different colors. I ordered the black, dove heather and cobblestone heather all in worsted weight for a cardigan. They are all very pretty colors and dont look at all acrylic. i had to reorder a few balls for the cardigan and everything was great. my last order was the wine color in bulky weight. it makes me so sad. i guess the color makes it look plasticy? it looks very acrylic. i'm 4 balls in to my 14 and so far ive come across a melted spot ?( i dont know how that happened? ) in 2 balls. the melted spot is around half a foot long and messes up around 3 inches on other side with awkward pulling. the other 2 ive spun into center pull balls look fine and i hope my other 10 do too. i think as long as you stick with dark colors or the worsted weight everything will be fine :)

I LOVE this yarn. Seriously, I love it. It is hands down the best acrylic that I have tried. It is super soft and very springy, has lovely stitch definition, and comes in lots of gorgeous colors. When you wash and dry it, it comes out even softer than it went in. I've used it for sweaters, blankets, accessories, and other projects. It is not scratchy nor squeaky like many of the "big box" acrylics can be. It is definitely my go-to acrylic yarn. Knit Picks--I love that you're expanding the colors that you offer! I echo another reviewers request: it would be so wonderful if the color choices could just keep expanding! I would buy this for everything!

I made two Roseberry coats, and the recipients couldn't believe that I'd used acrylic. I've avoided acrylics because they just felt and looked cheap, but the only thing about Brava that's cheap is its price!

I normally avoid acrylic yarns, as all others are rough and scratchy. But, I needed to make a baby blanket for my new nephew, which means it needs to be easy care. I decided to give Brava a chance, and am so glad I did. I love the feel of this yarn, and it knits up so nicely. This will be my new go to for the projects that require easy care yarns.

I am a yarn snob. I usually don't like acrylic. However, this BRAVA is terrific! It has a good feel, drape, and is generally a joy to work with. I have made several baby sweaters, hats, and blankets, and a teddy bear with a dress and a blanket purse to carry her in. I love this yarn.

Bravo for Brava! It is the best acrylic yarn on the market today -- bar none! Knitpicks, I hope you will expand the color line to make it like the old-style worsted yarns of decades past, where every color in a range was available . . . much like your fingering weight worsted line is today. Because Brava worsted will be the go-to choice for all of my color work afghans hence forth . . . and I believe it will be a first-choice yarn for other color afghan users in the future. You just can't go wrong with this yarn -- all we need is a HUMONGOUS color range! THANKS!

I just got this yarn in the mail so haven't knitted it yet but it seems very nice for an acrylic. I ordered way to much I realized so as well as a kids sweater I will be doing mittens, hat slippers etc.

Oops - I just read the description of Blush, which states that it is very close to a baby pink. Don't know how I missed that one, and expected it to be appropriate for an older woman. It will make a darn cute baby blanket, as soon as someone has a baby girl!

I bought a big box of this yarn because my church just started a Prayer Shawl Ministry. I bought Freesia, Blush, Tidepool and Umber Heather. The Freesia and Umber Heather look like they do in the photos, but the Blush is definitely Little Girl Pink. I can't use it for an older woman. The Tidepool is actually Teal. It's not a bad color; it just doesn't look the way it does in the photo. There are a few quality control issues with the yarn. Some of the skeins are fine, but some many of the skeins are made up of shorter lengths of yarn - when I pulled out the center to find the end, I found 4 of them. In one skein, I found a few strands that were 18 inches each. But I'm almost done with my first shawl, and it looks lovely so far. The standard K3P3 prayer shawl stitch didn't look nice enough in this yarn, so I used a basketweave. I ordered 5 skeins per shawl, and it looks like that will be right. I'm going to order another batch, and I will write another review if I find any more issues.

The BEST acrylic yarn! Beautiful colors, great value, and so very soft and nice to work with. I don't like using acrylic very often, but when the occasion comes along THIS is the one I use. This acrylic is even nicer than the softest of the brands that you usually find at craft stores.

I hate acrylic yarn, but I love Brava. Last winter's projects in Brava included a cardigan for auntie and a sweater for a small medium dog. Brava is soft before washing and incredibly soft after. It's springy, holds its shape well and boy is it dense! Expect this to be bulkier than Wool of the Andes or Swish and really warm. This is definitely my go-to yarn for projects where affordability, easy care and sensitive skin are top priorities.

I cannot say enough nice things about this yarn. It's very soft, springy, wears well, inexpensive, fantastic colors, just lovely! Compared to many other "leading brands" of acrylic which can be scratchy, almost squeaky, and very cheap feeling, this is anything but! What a nice find! I'm in love.

This yearn is beautiful! But, the coupon codes don't work. I couldn't get the free skein because it said the code wasn't good. Too bad! The yarn is wonderful to work with, soft and the colors are gorgeous

For a 100% acrylic yarn, this is fantastically soft. It has a good stretch to it, too.

I bought this because it was easy care and I wanted my baby items to be washable. I was surprised at how nice and soft this yarn is. It's also a great value. It's just an all-around great yarn. I would highly recommend it.

I chose brava to make a big warm shawl for my aunt, I was a little skeptical at first because I've never liked acrylic yarn, but this was different. I was very pleasantly surprised by how soft it is and my aunt loves how it feels when she wraps up in it. I will definitely buy this yarn again for projects where I need a lot of yarn for not much money.

I love brava for all my amigurumi crochet projects but what the heck happened to the white?!?! I just ordered one a few months ago and I'm already out I need MORE!!! Bring white back please :(

This is a great cheap acrylic, soft and nice to work with. However, I'm extremely annoyed that you seem to have stopped carrying the cream colorway. I now have a sweater with no sleeves and no way to finish it. Yes it's my own fault for not getting enough but why would you keep all the crazy colors above and yet stop carrying something as basic as cream?
