I bought this already dyed and wound it into a ball with a ball winder and swift and that was fine. I knitted my scarf from my center pull ball for a few inches and then hit a huge mess. The fibers had knotted themselves together into a blob. I ended up tossing the whole ball into the garbage after fighting with it for about an hour. Very frustrating.

Okay so this yarn was so so soft when in skein. And i realize its one ply so its a bit rustic looking. I dyed it in 3 shade of blue. It nearly felted. I used hot water of course, but i did not agitate it in any way. Im skeining it now. Its stuck to itself really bad. Im managing to get it apart but its work. I have never had a skein of yarn felt while dyeing it and i have dyed dozens of skeins of yarn. I will never buy this in bare again. I love it in soft n smooshy. But to go through this is just absurd. I just completed 5 skeins of Paragon dyed to perfection in the same manner... not a worry at all about felting. I think its the single ply that caused it.
