Simply Wool Aran
You'd have to shear your own sheep to get any more natural, this 100% Eco-wool yarn is good for you and Mother Earth. The product of centuries of shepherding tradition, the balanced twist and dense, plump hand give this yarn fabulous definition for textured or cabled sweaters and accessories. No dyes or bleach are used to process the yarn; the eight natural shades are created by meticulously sorting the fiber as it comes off the sheep. As colors are naturally occurring, some variation from skein to skein is normal.
3/2022 update: Please note, initially this yarn was listed as a Bulky weight; after many tests and customer feedback, we have determined it produces an Aran/Heavy Worsted fabric using the needle size and gauge information provided. Shipments from before this date will still be labeled as Bulky weight.
The rich umber brown of Wallace is twisted with the creamy light ivory shade of Wanda.
The darkest shade of Simply Wool, Wallace is a deep, rich umber brown in color, softened by a natural heathering that gives it a cool grey undertone. Makes a nice brown gradient with medium Wilhelmina and light Winnie.
A cool blend of medium brown and soft grey, this is a soft and sandy neutral that makes a perfect bridge between dark brown Wallace and light tan Winnie.
This cool, light neutral has subtle natural undertones of tan and light brown. Although it is similar in tone to light grey Winkle, the slight brown shading makes it a natural complement to dark brown Wallace and medium Wilhelmina.
This twisted blend consists of both our lightest & darkest shades of Simply Wool, Wallace & Wanda, balanced by the medium grey of Winnie.
This smoky medium grey is a blend of various tones of silver and lighter greys, with stray strands of charcoal for depth and definition. Spans the middle tone between darker Wordsworth and lighter Winkle.
A pale, light grey that is a heathered combination of white and misty greys with a subtle black undertone. Lifts the lighter end of the grey spectrum with medium Wilbur and dark Wordsworth.
This sedate and dependable hue is a dark ash grey, blended with flecks and spots of lighter tones of grey. A perfect neutral, it also serves to anchor a grey spectrum with medium Wilbur and lighter Winkle.
This warm and creamy light neutral is nearly as white as undyed wool can get. Natural variation can add isolated and subtle notes of beige and grey.
