The Tracery Shawette is an asymmetrical triangular accessory, sized to be worn as a scarf or shoulder wrap. It is knitted completely on the bias in one piece, flat, back and forth in rows on circular needles. The shawlette was inspired by a graceful Victorian lace pattern called Tracery, panels of which border the left-hand edge of the triangle; knitting begins at the right-hand edge with a pretty scalloped edging. A single decrease every other row narrows the piece to 3 stitches to be bound off.
