The perfect socks to dance to "Tishialuk Girls" - a jaunty, traditional song from Labrador & Newfoundland, Canada!

These toe-up cable-and-lace socks begin with a wide (wedge) toe. The instep is worked in pattern while the sole is worked in Stockinette stitch. Short rows are used to shape the heel base and the heel flap is worked in a Horizontal Herringbone stitch (separate photo tutorial is included). The front and back leg share the same pattern as the instep. For maximum flexibility, two ribbing charts are provided.

The bind off requires the knitter to be able to 'read' the stitches i.e. identify knit and purl stitches as they present themselves.

Both charts and written directions for charts are provided.
