Say it like it is with this fun "hot" pad! With a unique double-thick construction, it takes on heat well. Hang a few proudly in your own kitchen, or generously gift to a friend. Paired with kitchen cookware or a home baked treat, this makes a great gift! In fact, the last pattern page has many great gifting ideas!

This pattern includes both charted and written instructions. This fun knit goes pretty fast, but it will keep you on your toes.

Construction: The hot pad body (front and back) is knit first. After folding it in half, stitches are picked up along each edge, "seaming" each side together. An I-cord bind off and hanging loop lends the finishing touch.

Techniques used: Knit, purl, provisional CO, cabling, picking up sts, working in the round, and I-cord BO.
