Sundae Hat
Swirls, sprinkles or solids, the Sundae Hat is made to order and is finished to perfection with a pom-pom topper. The spiral pattern in Garter Stitch combines all color options in a delightful blend. This clever and quick design is a perfect stashbuster project with options for the whole family.
Worked flat in a modified Garter Stitch with one-row stripes, rows are increased at one edge and decreased at the other edge to create a bias fabric and the illusion of a spiral when assembled. The one-row stripes are all knit, using a stacking sequence and a circular needle. Color changes are carried up both sides of the work. The Sundae Hat is an easy knit that pleases novice and experienced knitters alike.
