Sedimentary rock layers inspired this fun to wear and easy to knit shawl design. The shaping at the beginning and end of the rows causes the layers of color and texture to slip in one direction, lengthening and creating motion. Long tassels at the end points add the finishing touch.
Using four different yarns, each of a different weight and fiber, the Sedimentary Shawl is a unique way to try out a variety of yarn. For the shawl as pictured, you will need two skeins of Paragon in Almond and one skein of Paragon in Doe, one skein of Stroll Fingering in Koi Pond, one skein of Luminance in Strength, and one skein of City Tweed Aran in Tahitian Pearl.
