Rita M Shawl
  0 customer reviews

Rita MacNeil is a much-celebrated and admired country / folk singer / song writer from Big Pond, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia on Canada's East Coast. Her beloved songs told the stories of The Island and its people and the yarn's beautifully subtle colour variations create an idyllic ocean landscape for this design.

Rita M is a scalene triangle shawl that is knit from the base to the tip - the shawl getting ever narrower making for a fast finish! The right edge of the shawl is worked in a sweeping lace panel. The body of the shawl is worked in an arced lace pattern which creates a lovely scalloped base edge and invokes visions of calm ocean vistas. The left edge is worked in an eyelet border.
