I often fall asleep watching the evergreens in my yard blow about inthe wind. I remember back when they were planted and I could just see their tips through my window. Back then I used to watch the stars at night. Slowly those trees have grown and grown until I can only see one or two stars through them. I used to resent the trees covering the sky as they slowly began to take over and I couldn’t see any whole constellations anymore, couldn’t see much sky at all anymore, then I began to like watching the trees. The shapes of those branches are firmly in my mind, so it was almost inevitable that it come out in knitting.
