My daughter saw a runner wearing a stocking cap one day. She thought she would like a stocking cap too, but it had to be much cooler. Like a Wizard Hat. So stars on a night sky background seemed to fit the bill. It tilts to one side or the other, but not back or forward. We had a Blizzard this weekend and since it rhymed with Wizard and that is when I knit it, well, you can guess the rest...
Knit in Swish and Swish Tonal Worsted yarn in three sizes (Small Child, Child, Adult) with a very tiny rolled edge leading into corrugated ribbing. The tonal yarn for the stars gives a really pretty star field with lots of depth. The way the decreases are done force the hat to fall to either side but it won’t flop forward so it stays out of the eyes.
