This sweater is a simple knit as it is all done in stockinette. It's loose fitting, so you can layer it over button up shirts or turtlenecks.

It's a good beginner project. The sweater is begun from the edge of the left sleeve, knitting across the chest and ending on the right sleeve. There are two options for the bottom half of the sweater. One gives the option of seamless knitting, picking up the stitches. The 2nd gives the option of knitting the bottom half separately then grafting it to the top. Either are great options!

Finishing with a crochet hook edging is optional; no crocheting will allow a free, gentle curl along the edges. Knit Picks Comfy worsted is an incredibly soft choice of yarn!

I purchased this pattern. I have been knitting for over 40 years and have knitted scarves, afghans, hats for adults, hats for newborns, chemo caps for charity, mittens and socks. Although it is described as a "beginner project", it is NOT for a beginner. Directions are unclear and lack many important details. There are no diagrams showing finished size measurements. Tried to complete this sweater but frustration led to unraveling it.
