Living in Michigan, I have my fair share of snow each season. At the end of each season, I'm usually ready for the snow to abate; however, I do appreciate the natural beauty of snow itself. High winter winds can add to the beauty, by creating fantastically beautiful snow drifts. The way the snow swirls and overlaps inspired this sock pattern. I made use of basic increases and decreases to create a natural overlap, much like the appearance of a snowdrift. It is a way to honor nature's beauty while I wait for warmer weather - without the chill of actual snow. Happy Knitting!

Note: Felici is a Special Reserve yarn that releases periodically. It is not always available, and the color offering changes regularly. See available options in the Kit Builder below.

I'm not certain if I am doing something wrong, but after I turned the heel and started working the gusset I tried on the socks (before they were complete). Needless to say, I couldn't get them around my heel. I checked my guage and it is correct, so I'm not certain what I am doing wrong. I think I'm going to try the pattern again, but this time working magic loop from toe-up. I'm upset that I have to rip out my work.
