the pattern is great, instruction easy to follow BUT there is a flaw.. from the start. there is no way this bag will ever be 16" wide. Why? the gauge is 32 st for 4 inches. do the math. for 16 inches 32x4 = 128 st. for one side! the pattern calls for 80. As it is my gauge is slightly tighers than yours.. by 2 stiches… so according to your pattern my bag shoud be at least 15 inches But it is barely 10 inches. (80 st = 2X32 =8" +16st=2" =10" in general I like your patterns BUT I always have to use needles that are much bigger than are called for… I am an experienced knitter, I don't knit particularly tight I just cant understand how you achieve you gauge. too loose is not pretty!

Beautiful pattern! I bought it a while back when it also came in lovely curry colors. However, I found that no matter what I tried, the gauge became very tight and the bag was extremely small when it was finished.
