Have you ever knit something that—while simple to knit—is really, really difficult to explain? That’s Maize in a nutshell. This pattern sprang, fully formed, from the yarn ball. She’s been called a lot of things since…Corn Goddess, Tonantzin…but “Maize” stuck. Like ripe corn in a summertime field, with cabled furrows running around the body. You can also omit the sleeves for a tunic-length vest. Knit from the bottom up, the cables that form the peplum bottom come together organically and create shaping that’s almost invisible. Ditto at the bust and armscye. Sizes range from 34/36" to 46"/48" bust
