Haruni is a slightly crescent shaped triangular shawl, knit from the top down and finished with a crochet bind off. With a wingspan of 45”, this small shawl is easily enlarged by knitting more repeats of the first chart. Pattern includes a schematic and explanation of basic top down shawl construction, as well as large, color coded charts. If charts aren’t your thing, there are also complete, row by row written directions. Total stitch count is given for each row as well as an alternate icord bind off.

This is a wonderful shawl. I've made 3 of them so far, plus one without the leafy border. Plus I've used the leafy border on other items. Love it. I had never knitted lace from a charted pattern before, so for the first one, I used the written directions. After that I started to get the hang of the charted lace patterns, so it was a learning experience as well. AND The name is an Elvish word from Tolkien, and it doesn't get any better than that!

This shawl is fantastic! Very beautifully done. The charts can get a bit confusing on this one, but the written instructions definitely helps with that.
