Purchased the kit with the yarn. Not sure if pattern was created using a different yarn. Can not create even a size small hat with the pattern and yarn. I was able to finally knit a very snug small by increasing the needle to a 6 and adding 30 stitches to the listed size large stitch count. Do not recommend this kit. The hat looks great but can't be made without lots of changes.

It's a nice hat, easy without being too boring. However the pattern calls for size 3 needles, which I hope is some kind of typo. I knitted it on size 7 needles and added 10 stitches to make it large enough for an adult-sized head.
