This stylish boyfriend cardigan begins with a deep rib and has options for waist shaping or a straight fit, depending on your style and preference.

The body begins with the same ribbing as the sleeves and is worked flat in one piece from the hem to the underarms, at which point the fronts and back are worked separately to the shoulders.

The cardi also features set in sleeves, afterthought pockets for a relaxed touch and a button band that is knit directly onto the body and continues around the neckline to create an extended collar.

I agree with Audra. It’s taken a couple of months and a lot of patience to make it. It also fits tighter than I expected which is puzzling as I did a large tension square first. But the wool is a lovely colour. Next, a promised second one. However,

This is the worst written pattern ever. Do not waste your money. The directions are completely incomprehensible . I am so sorry I wasted money and tons of time trying to make sense of it.

This pattern was definitely confusing to follow as others said, but the most disappointing thing for me was the lack of direction on fit. It doesn't tell you how much positive ease is built into the pattern, and I ended up with a half-finished gigantic sweater. I ripped it out and plan on using a different pattern instead.

Over a year later, I'm still battling this pattern...I'm determined to finish. But man...I'm not enjoying it. Especially as Audra stated..I paid for this.

This was my first cardigan project. As other reviewers have stated, the pattern was difficult to follow and I found myself making things up in an effort to succeed. The knitting itself was simple- mainly stockinette and rib. Clearer instructions would have been better.
