Assemblé is a geometric lace shawlknitted from the bottom up in one piece. Its lace pattern coupled with a stockinette background complement tonal or kettle dyed yarns.
The shawlette is a quick knit, but the results are beautiful! With only 220 yards (201 m) of worsted weight yarn, you can complete the smaller shawlette version.
The larger shawl uses 440 yards (402 m) of the same yarn type. The blocked shawlette measures 46" x 18" (117 cm x 46 cm), while the shawl size is 73" by 30" (185 cm by 76 cm). Pre-blocked gauge is 18 stitches over 4” in stockinette stitch.
The shawlette version of Assemblé is recommended for experienced beginner to intermediate knitters. The larger shawl version is a bit more difficult and is suggested for intermediate knitters. This pattern uses the following stitches: knit, purl, yarn over, double yarn over, slip slip knit and knit two together. It includes both text and charted instructions.

Color used in the sample is no longer available; we have made a similar color suggestion in the yarn calculator below.
