I absolutely adore these needles! My parents wanted to know what I wanted for my birthday, so I asked for these knowing that it would make them doubly meaningful. Needless to say, I started working with them that very night - a little less than 2 months later I have completed a 'Find Your Fade' shawl, speeding through the project with these glorious needles! Some reviewers said they have little burrs on them, or are a little sticky at first - no biggie! Either just work with them, rub a bit of mineral oil on them - and voila! They're perfect. Smooth, FAST, and pretty to look at. I am literally donating my old set of interchangeable needles to someone who might need them. Highly recommend - I'm actually thinking of buying a second set as I usually have more than one project going at a time.

I treated myself to a set of the rosewood needles because they were on sale. I wish I hadn't. Several of the tips have rough edges that snag my yarn. So I will need to sand them and oil them. This is my fifth set of KnitPicks needles and the only one that I wouldn't recommend.

I love my interchangeable needle set, but I wish they made them in smaller sizes!! I need sizes 2 and 3 for a project I'm working on, and I really wish I could buy interchangeable needles to accompany the set I have.

LOVE all my knitpicks needles but my fav and go to, are the gorgeous rosewood!!

When I received mine, they had unsightly white blotches in the grain of the wood. To fix this, I oiled them with linseed oil and now they are absolutely perfect and gorgeous! The oil really brings out the color of the wood. IMO for this amount of money they should have come perfectly finished, but with 10 minutes and some elbow grease I was able to fix them, so I'll give 4 stars. I'll probably oil these every so often to keep them in shape over the years.

I got mine 2.5 years ago. They're very strong and resilient for sure. The points are just as sharp as the day I received them. There are only two real downsides: sometimes the joints come loose on a couple of the smaller sizes even after making sure to tighten with the key, and the yarn sticks a tad too much to the wood (which is great for ultra slippery yarn). Overall after 2.5 years I'm very satisfied with them and recommend the splurge.

I'll be returning these. The wood looks gouged, as some others have mentioned in other reviews, and they do not feel smooth at all. The case would be useful but it's very shiny, cheap feeling, and more gaudy than I expected. I have other rosewood needles by other brands and they've always been worth the price, but these don't measure up IMO.

I love the feel of these needles but within 2 months one of the 4mm tips began to splinter, Knit Picks did send a replacement needle but it too splintered within another month or so. Some of the other sizes developed some rough spots on the tips which I was able to get rid of by lightly sanding. It was only on the smaller size needles that I had this problem.

I enjoy knitting with these unfortunately they don't hold up well to use. I knit one sweater on my 4mm and the tips are worn right out. They are pretty though....

Love these needles! So smooth to knit with and so beautiful to look at. I hope they'll be available for individual purchase soon so I can stock up on my most-used sizes :)

Knitpicks customer service is the best! About half the needles in this set were defective in my opinion. The tips that had clear wood were fine. The ones that had a lot of grain seemed to have gouges in the wood where the grain was. I received replacements for the defective ones but still had issues. I ended of returning them and buying the rainbow set instead.

I love this kit. The rosewood is some of the smoothest needles I've ever used, the yarn glides off of it effortlessly. It is easy to swap cables, and comes with ends of locking the cables off if you need to park a project for a bit.

I just purchased this set (for my husband to give me for Christmas) and am already enjoying it. One of the nicest things is enjoying, and appreciating, the beauty of the wood. Each needle has a slightly different patina all of which are lovely. I used to just enjoy the knitting but now I also enjoy & admire the needle tips.

I was cautiously optimistic when I ordered these as a gift for my sister. I have tried the Caspian with the green cables. They drove me nuts and it was not a pleasant experience. I double checked each Rosewood needle tip and they were smooth and lovely. I tested the size 7 tips with a cable. Lovely to knit with and a wonderful join. The black cables are the best! Vast improvement over the green ones. The case is nice and has room for her set of zyphers. Sis will love them. I'm putting these on my wishlist now

I just received this set and am thrilled with the quality of everything from the needles to the case. I have the needles already working on a scarf project and I am pleased with the feel of the rosewood. They are elegant needles to own and use and they were definitely a bargain.

Ooooh, yes!! I got mine last year and Mmmmm, they're nice! Nothing like having something that fine to work with. I love mine! Absolutely love 'em!! It's easy to do lace, the points are nicely shaped and clean, even bought more cables to do more projects at once. Sadly that's my biggest hangup, too many projects going at once but seriously, with needles like this who could resist trying them all out on different things?
