Options Short Interchangeable Caspian Circular Knitting Needle Set

The Short Options Interchangeable Needle Set is designed with shorter needle tips that connect snag-free to our distinctive emerald cable. This set includes two cables - simply attach the needle tips to create a versatile 16" interchangeable circular needle perfect for hats, sleeves, and other, more compact projects. Tip sizes are US 4,5,6,7,8,9,and 10 (3.5mm,3.75mm,4mm,4.5mm,5mm,5.5mm,and 6mm), and each tip is 2.75" long.

Featuring smooth joins, perfectly tapered tips and flexible cables, this set includes 7 of our bestselling needle tips and 2 cables to create a 16" circular knitting needle - all of which are stored in a handy vinyl case. Two small cable keys are included, which allow you to tighten your needle tips to the cables. Working on multiple projects that call for the same needle size? Use the included endcaps to safely store your project as you start the next.

Boasting the same strong and smooth layers of laminated birch that you know and love, Caspian shows off a sea-inspired colorway along with a distinctive emerald cord to complement its oceanic hues.

Note: While all of the Knit Picks Option Interchangeable Needles will fit on the shorter cables, we strongly recommend not using the longer tips on these cables - the circumference will not measure 16" and your needles can bend or break.

I love these needles! I am now adding the short tips to my collection, which are perfect for the shorter cables. The finish is beautiful and I have never had a snag in my yarns caused by a sliver or defect in the finish. I have recommended these to my knitting friends and family.

I love these, but I am seriously disappointed that they don't come smaller than a 4. I need the smaller needles to knit my socks using the magic loop method. I like that my needles match...they are so pretty to look at and work with, I wanted to just keep adding to my collection until all of my needles I will have to seek out a company that makes what I need...and my sets won't match.

Blissful, blissful knitting! It is so very enjoyable to knit the sleeves into a sweater using this set. No more pulling the needles in frustration or stretching the knitted piece and leaving trails in it. I cannot wait to see all the other things, such as short rows, that this set will engage. Thanks Knit Picks for this wonderful product! Highly recommended!

Nice for knitting hats and sleeves. Not as smooth as they could be, though. One in particular has a groove that catches the point of the other tip every stitch.

I love these needles! They are great for smaller items. I especially like them for sleeves. I like top down sweaters and then I get to the part to separate the sleeves from the body, I put the sleeve stitches on the two cords and attach the round holders. When I am ready to start the sleeves, the stitches are already on the cords and I can just put on the tips, pick up underarm stitches and I am ready to go. I would love some short tips in sizes 1-3. They may be too thin for wood but even metal is better than double pins. I also have the regular interchangeable set and sets of both long and short double pins. I have metal and bamboo sets but I like the Knitpicks needles best. I noticed people have trouble with the tips coming unscrewed. You must use the key. Put the key in the hole at the end of the cord and screw in the tip. With the key in place, you can really tighten the tip so it won't come unscrewed. I have also found another use for the hole in the cord. I use it to place dental floss lifelines! Put the floss through the hole in the needle you are going to knit the stitches onto and tie in in a knot then just start knitting onto that needle and the floss will follow along. When I finish the row, I untie the floss and make a slip knot and put in a locking marker. You don't have to cut the floss of the roll until you know how long a piece you will need then you can tie it off on that end.
