I have tried these. I love the color of the needles. They are very sturdy, the cables are flexible and the joins do not come loose while knitting,

As with the other reviews, I love the feel of foursquare, but the dark color makes my work hard to see. A lighter or brother color would be appreciated.AC891B

I love the square shape. I do feel they help me with more consistent stitches... ...BUT... The tips are slightly rough...not enough to snag, but the feeling when the two tips drag against each other is a little like nails on a chalkboard to me. Perhaps the tips can't get polished as much due to the shape? I have a set of Rainbows from back when they were the only KP choice (and before they were even called Rainbow), as well as a mix of different tips through the years, and they are still slick, so it's not a matter of age or environment.

It would be nice to see some replies to the questions that are being asked. My comment would be same as thoughs already submitted. Great product and very easy to use but the dark needles and dark wood is impractical and therefore I won’t buy a set but might buy individual sizes if the colour of my yarn would work.

My hands appreciate knitting with square needles, and I love the feel of the well-finished wood, but my complaint about them is as follows: Who cares whether they fit through a hole in a round needle gauge or not? This means that their circumference is smaller--usually by about a size--than that of the corresponding round needle. What needs to happen is that, say, a size 6 should have the same circumference regardless of shape, and there needs to be a separate needle gauge for square needles. This is obviously not just an issue with KnitPicks needles, but with all manufacturers.
