The Gradient Hat and Scarf knits up a worsted weight yarn into a chunky, cozy set by holding the yarn not double, but triple! With three strands of yarn to work with, a gradient effect is achieved by gradually switching out a single strand at a time to make seven color zones that gradually transition from blue to grey to white. Both items are worked flat in a simple broken rib. The hat is seamed at the back and topped with an optional three color pompom.
