So much of my inspiration comes from creatures in the ocean. Their unique shapes, colours, and textures never cease to enchant me. Kirai, one of the many types of heart cockles, sparked me to design an heart shaped shawl. Kirai Shikama is a bivalve mollusc that lives mainly under algae and sand in reef flats exposed to the sun. It has exquisite, violet and yellowish/white color with attractive pattern. It can be variegated in colour and has a fluted edge.
