Ironheart Hat Pattern
This hat combines two of my favorite things--hearts and ornate iron scrollwork. As I am a knitter, not a smith, I have used my needles to forge yarn into a hat.
Interesting knitting begins right away with a two-color cabled cast-on and corrugated ribbing. Following a plain round of knitting, the hearts are wrought to life with stranded colorwork. After a two-color purl turning round, you’re on to the crown decreases--either in the contrasting color or in the main color.
Sized for both adults and children.
