Vancouver, Washington- Knit Picks’ Gloss Lace and Gloss Fingering weight yarns are so popular with our customers, that we’re adding two new weights of Gloss for fall- Gloss DK and Gloss Heavy Worsted (HW).

All of our Gloss yarns are a blend of soft, cushiony merino and luxurious silk. The silk fibers absorb dye beautifully, so all of our Gloss colors are deep, rich, and saturated with a slight sheen.

The DK weight is ideal for pullovers, and all of the colors in the line coordinate well, which has inspired Knit Picks Vice-President Tina Birch to use Gloss DK for colorwork. “I’m currently knitting the Nederland Vest in Gloss DK. It's so addictive to knit row after row and watch the colors interact along the way.  Gloss DK is so yummy to work with - a little silky sheen, very soft, and intense colors.”

Gloss Heavy worsted is more suitable for outwear. The merino fibers create a warm, squishy fabric, and the way the light reflects off the silk gives you incredible stitch definition. It’s a plump, luscious yarn that’s perfect for cables and other textured projects.

Gloss DK starts at only $4.29/ 50 gram ball and Gloss Heavy Worsted starts at $8.59/100 gram ball. You can view the entire family of Gloss yarns at http://www.knitpicks.com/yarns/Gloss_Knitting_Yarns__L300124.html
