Fox Trot Scarf
  0 customer reviews

Everything Foxy is in! from purses and jewelry to printed fabric. For all foxy ladies, the Fox Trot Scarf interprets this popular image in knitted lace.

The scarf is knitted in two identical halves so the ends are mirror-imaged. Beginning with a provisional crochet cast-on, each end is knitted back and forth in rows; the completed ends are joined at center back with a 3-needle bind-off. Then a narrow eyelet edging is picked up with dpn's along all 4 sides.

Skill Level: experienced. It requires basic lace sts (yo, k2tog, skp, and 3 kinds of double decreases) but is judged experienced because of the concentration required to work the multiple yo's of the fox's eyes and feet and because the knitter must keep track of the lace patterns individually.

The fox face is charted; fox feet are given as written instructions; edging instructions are both charted and written.

Color used in the sample is no longer available; we have made a similar color suggestion in the yarn calculator below.
