A texture that is both pleasing to the eye and fun to knit, the dashed texture highlights the beautiful colors in variegated yarn. Dashing Socks are knit top down using a"dashed" texture alternated with rows of stockinette. A faux heel flap and gusset is created using increases, a slip-stitch texture for the back of the heel, and short rows with decreases to create a square heel turn. The sock is finished with a rounded toe.
