What are cookies?

Remember the good old days when all you needed to know about cookies was whether you preferred oatmeal raisin or chocolate chip? Times have changed, good friend. Nowadays a cookie is also a small data file that web sites store on your computer's hard drive when you visit them.

Cookies throughout the Internet MAY contain information (such as a unique user ID) that is used to track the pages of the site you've visited and improve your overall user experience. Knit Picks does not store ANY personally identifiable information in cookies — so you don't need to worry about our cookies.

Please note, not all website have as strong of a privacy policy as Knit Picks does, check the privacy policy on each website that you frequent.

Why do you use cookies?

We use cookies to improve your overall shopping experience. When you visit KnitPicks.com, your cookie helps us track what you put in your cart as you shop on our site. When you browse the site or order from us, we use cookies to monitor and maintain information about your usage. This information helps us serve you better by improving our site design, products, services, contests, and promotions.

What if I don't want you to track my site usage?
You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. The only catch is that if you turn off cookies, we won't be able to enable you to make a purchase from our site or track your order. We also won't be able to recognize you as a registered member or allow you to access your account information.

If you have any questions about our privacy policy or how we treat cookies, take a quick look at our privacy policy. If you're truly concerned about Knit Picks use of cookies, you can also order by phone by calling 1-800-574-1323. No cookies necessary! Although customer service certainly wouldn't complain if you sent them a couple dozen of the chocolate variety.

How to delete my Cookies?

Sometimes it is necessary for the proper communication of your browser and our server to delete your cookies. This will cause your browser to "start from scratch" and allow your session to run smoothly.

These steps will delete any items in your shopping cart and 'Save for Later', so print out your cart or write down the items in it so you have a record of them later. If you are using Internet Explorer as your browser, follow these easy steps:

  • In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  • On the General tab, click Settings, and then click View files.
  • Select the cookie you want to delete, and then, on the File menu, click Delete.
  • To delete all of the cookies on your computer, click Delete Cookies on the General tab.

If you use another browser besides Internet Explorer, click on HELP and type "delete cookies." It should bring up the instructions on how to delete the little buggers.
