Once again, Knit Picks rules. I have seen this grade of alpaca from many yarn houses and never for this price. Would you please give us more colors as you had available in the past? Even with the demise of a true choice in colors, this alpaca is one of the best, certainly for the price. Lang's version of the same fingering weight yarn is usually sold for minimum $20/skein. Even on Ebay, KnitPicks' sells from some unscrupulous vendors for more than double the price simply because other yarns can't compare. It does make me wonder why they sell on Amazon for a hefty profit when all they have to do is come here! It also makes me wonder why houses like Art Yarn don't go bankrupt from pricing themselves right out of the market. No yarn, no matter what degree of luxury should cost over $50/skein. Fiseta had this same problem and they're now gone. Beautiful stuff at ridiculous prices. I digress. More colors please?

I purchased this yarn for the Gradient Pullover thinking it would feel more like the Andean Treasure and am really disappointed. The Andean Treasure is wonderful and feels like butter, this yarn however is scratchy and isn't even as soft as stroll fingering (a yarn I absolutely love). I don't think I will be able to wear the sweater without a long sleeve blouse underneath. I have even thought about returning the hanks that I haven't wound into balls yet, but am waiting to see how the first two skeins knit up before I make that decision. I am hoping that once I get it knitted more than a few inches it might feel softer. I think that is more wishful thinking than reality though. I won't buy it again.

This is one of my absolute favorite yarns! It is incredibly soft and beautiful. The colors are deep and vivid and gorgeous I've used three so far (Jo, Algernon, and Rochester) and have loved them all. I've made three sweaters/tops and they are standing the test of time super well. No pilling or felting. As beautiful as the day I finished them. My only complaint (as others have mentioned) is that so many color ways have disappeared! There used to be a whole lot more. Please bring back more colorways, Knitpicks!

This yarn is excellent! Very soft, very easy to work with, stands up all right to pulling out stitches and reworking multiple times. Also, the colors rich, even, and incredibly beautiful. Knit Picks, please don't retire Elise. Or Rochester. And please, if you can, bring back Juliet, and any other's you've retired!

As always, your alpaca is world class in both quality and colour choice. From what I understand after the current sale of discontinued yarns, you will be building out your colour choices again. Would you please include a pale green and other pastels? This customer/designer would be very grateful.
