Sale! Stroll Tweed Sock Yarn

$4.39 - $5.49 50g / skein  Original Price: $5.49

Stroll Tweed is perfect for gift socks because of its machine washable convenience, not requiring special care on the part of the recipient. The rich, solid colors show off texture, lace and cables. The neutral neps of tweed add flecks of interest to simple stitches and textured knits, but are subtle enough to accentuate rather than interfere with all but the most complex patterns. The understated neps also work well with striping, Fair Isle, and stranding, bringing a unifying element and additional texture to colorwork. With Merino softness and donegal depth, this easy care sock yarn is a terrifically tweedy treat for your feet.

Note: For best machine wash results, turn the socks inside out and wash in cold water on a delicate cycle.

“Essential Tweed is perfect for gift socks because it is machine washable, so does not require special care on the part of the recipient. The rich, solid colors show off texture, lace and cables. The red, blue, green and yellow nubs of the tweed add flecks of interest, but they do not distract from stitch patterns at all. We've also tried Fair Isle socks using this yarn, and the nubs are a fun unifying element throughout the color work design. The softness makes these socks a special treat for your feet. Also available as natural undyed yarn so you can create your own colorways and in many colors without the tweed nubs.”

I love working with this soft tweedy yarn. It's affordable and offers a great selection of colors. Beautiful sweater first...socks next.

Knit Picks never fails to impress. This is a lovely soft yarn, with great stitch definition. The tweedy bits add a nice touch. As one other reviewer said, just a very enjoyable knit. Knit Picks is now my go-to for all my yarn needs, everything I've bought from them exceeds expectations and they have wonderful customer service and FAST shipping. Thanks again Knit Picks!

I was forced to make my own diabetic socks because the store bought ones were expensive and never fit well. I made a couple of pair with this yarn and it has lasted over 2 years without any holes developing. It is an wonderful sock yarn. I will get more

I am using the Flagstone colorway for a Flax Light sweater. It is coming beautifully. Four skeins so far, and no splitting, no knots, just a very enjoyable knit. I will likely purchase additional colors for more fingering sweaters. 4065050 erfect weight for the southwest weather.

This has been a favorite since the beginning. I have had a pair of fingerless gloves that I knitted at least 10-years ago & properly taken care of still look brand new! There has been a few pills, but that is understandable. Washed in kookaburra & laid flat to dry, you can't go wrong. I recommend kookaburra for all hand washables-wool or not. This yarn is extremely rugged for socks if you combine wooly nylon with the yarn for the heals, toes & possibly the foot area. It just gives added wearabilty if you wear them allot. I believe the tweed is more durable than the reg. stroll with the addition of the donegal.
