My mother-in-law, Lydia, was a generous and loving lady. From the beginning, she made me feel like I was part of the family. I designed this cloth for her to say thank you for being so wonderful and for welcoming me so warmly onto her lily pad. This cloth is fully charted and worked in the round. The touch of lace will add lovely decoration to your scrubbing, be it in the kitchen or the bath.

I was unable to knit Lydia's Lily Pad. My knitting teacher was able to work it out. The pattern is missing a k1 before the yo at the beginning and ending of the row.

I am currently making this pattern. I had a little trouble at the beginning because I just made a couple of mistakes. I am on the 27th row, and it is working fine. I looked at the instructions very carefully and studied the picture. In the instructions it says to work the section of the round from the chart and add a k1 before doing the next pattern repeat. Working from the chart, increase 16 stitches, and then work 2 rounds even. Continue this way to the end of the chart. You know you have the correct number of stitches when the total is divisible by 4.

I have to agree with cblack and her review above. I had the correct amount of stitches cast on and the correct amount of stitches increased ( 16) and at the end I had exactly half of the sections I should have had. It may have made a cute little pointy hat for an infant lol! cblack has more patience than I have to have tried it 5 times. I have knit more than a few lace patterns myself and it seems that there is something not right here. It is a pretty pattern too

I have tried to knit this pattern 5 times and it is not coming out as the picture shows. Instructions are minimal and as far as I am concerned inadequate (no stitch count after the first row increases). I really wanted to knit this one but I have given up. I have knit lace patterns before but this one has me stymied.
