Great book! Pattern directions easy to follow. The knitter can make endless combinations of lace designs......never get to the boredom state when knitting self-designed shawls using the book's guidelines. Thank you, KnitPicks!

What a great book! It's full of possibilities - so many choices, I will be knitting shawls for quite sometime. It's like a choose your own adventure book, but for knitting :)

This book is pretty great for me; especially being a beginner/intermediate knitter! I am self taught and am always looking for way to make new items. Shawls was next on my life to learn and this book really does pave the way for me to learn several stitches while creating something that I genuinely want to make. I can pick the pattern that works for me and my style or the style of who I intend to make the shawl for. The charts are great and provide a great intro into making shawls. (at least for me!)

I don't know why but I was expecting so much more when I ordered this book. Considering all the marketing effort put around it, I am disappointed by how little content there is inside. Still, the charts are beautiful and clear and I love all the edging options, and it is nice to see how the lace patterns knit up in the different shapes (the photos are gorgeous)!
