Celtic Twilight
Celtic Twilight ~ an inspired composition collection by Tim Janis, modern-day composer from Maine, USA, whose tunes weave magical notes into relaxing and meditative instrumental music - an inspiration for these cables.
These toe-up socks beginning with a barn toe. A Celtic cable panel runs along one side of the instep and leg. The cables are mirrored on right and left sock. The sole is worked in Stockinette stitch and gusset increases are worked at sides of sole. A small 1/1 cable is incorporated into each gusset for a touch of special. The heel is turned using a short row heel cap which means no picking up stitches and the heel flap is worked in a standard slipped-stitch pattern.
The socks can be made taller by working additional ribbing rounds. Cable patterns are charted with written directions for the charts provided.
